Britney Spears new album 'explored new things'

Britney Spears’ new album is getting close. The pop star joined the latest edition of answertime on Tumblr, doling out answers to questions from her fans. One asked when her long-gestating ninth studio album would be released.

“Soon… Very soon!” she replied. Later, she teased, “We really explored some new things” on the album.

Spears returned this month with “Make Me,” a sexy track with G-Eazy. In the Q&A, she had nothing but nice things to say about the rising rapper: “He’s such an amazing talent. It was fun! His rap really took the song to a new level.”

“Make Me” serves as the first single for Spears’ upcoming record, her first since 2013’s Britney Jean. Spears revealed the song will soon make its way onto the setlist for her massive Las Vegas residency, “Britney: Piece of Me,” currently underway.
