Luke Evans sings Adele in the shower on The Ellen DeGeneres Show

Luke Evans’ Adele fandom is… well… a lot like pretty much everyone else’s.

The actor, who plays Disney’s narcissistic bad boy Gaston in Beauty and the Beast, stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday and shared a video of himself shirtless and singing along to the Grammy winner.

“This is me singing Adele… in my living room, and my mom is on the little iPad on the screen, if you see there. And I’m singing… and this is me just belting out, ‘When We Were Young,'” he explains. “This is what I do on a Sunday morning, guys, is learn Adele tracks.”

Evans admitted that he often turns to his mom for help with his music, “I FaceTime my mom when I learn a new song.” Later, he added, “Is this where Adele comes out behind me? I know what happens on this show.”

“It’s a shame you know what happens ’cause she’s not here,” DeGeneres laughed. Still, the host made sure Adele has a presence. “So you love to sing, you love Adele, you love to sing in the shower, so we got you something so you could sing with it,” DeGeneres said as Evans’ eyes widened, and a shower curtain was introduced, bearing a life-sized Adele with a space cut out for Evans to put his head through. “So now you can sing with Adele,” she explained.

And sing he did, climbing behind the curtain and sticking his head through the too-short hole, where he serenaded the audience with another rendition of “When We Were Young.”
