From the files of flip it and reverse it, Ellen DeGeneres had Celine Dion use her powerful voice to cover a trio of rap songs, including Missy Elliott’s “Work It,” as well as Britney Spears’ “Work Bitch.”

On Monday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Dion was given lyrics from pop songs “Hot in Herre” by Nelly, “Shots” by LMAFO feat. Lil Jon, and the aforementioned Spears and Elliott tracks, and tasked with turning their recognizable phrases into ballads fit for the singer behind “My Heart Will Go On.”

“My career’s going to end tonight,” Dion joked.

In addition to the rap segment, Dion also spoke to DeGeneres about the death of her husband, René Angélil, who died in January of this year.

“It’s part of our life and life has imposed this on him. That was his destiny and I still feel extremely fortunate that he has given me three magnificent children. Wonderful pieces of luggage,” she joked. “As an artist to feel confident and to have experience enough and to keep going. And I‘m well because he’s not suffering anymore. Because the hardest thing is not to lose somebody you love but to see them suffer.

“So for me to know that he is in a place where he doesn’t suffer anyone makes me feel way better and second thing I’ve feel extremely fortunate as a mother that, it’s probably the thing I’m the most proud of and how I prepared my children for how to live with dad,” she continued. “How to live with him without his presence.”
