TV Supernatural stars Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins read you a bedtime story By Samantha Highfill Samantha Highfill Samantha is a writer based in Los Angeles. Television is her one true love, and she tweets about it. A lot. EW's editorial guidelines Published on February 14, 2019 04:00PM EST After 14 seasons and 300 episodes, the story of Supernatural‘s Sam and Dean is complicated, to say the least. But at its core, it’s the story of two brothers who have been through a lot and, with the help of Castiel (and others), continue to fight the good fight. But one thing is certain: Sam and Dean didn’t have a normal childhood. Not only did Sam and Dean lose their mother when they were young, but her demon-related death sent their dad on a quest for revenge, one that took a toll on the boys. Like Sam said in the show’s pilot, “When I told Dad I was scared of the thing in my closet, he gave me a .45.” So it’s probably not a stretch to say that Sam and Dean aren’t too familiar with typical bedtime stories. Rather, they’re more used to the stories that involve monsters (which they know to be real). So EW wrote a special, Supernatural-specific bedtime story. See Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and Misha Collins read it above. Supernatural airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
