Lupita Nyong'o tried to buy Black Panther tickets but they were already sold out everywhere

Black Panther is selling out so fast, even the cast is having trouble getting tickets.

Tickets for the upcoming Marvel movie went on sale Monday, and Fandango soon announced that Black Panther had beaten Captain America: Civil War to post the best first-day advance sales for any MCU movie ever. One of the people who tried to buy tickets for Black Panther’s opening night was Lupita Nyong’o — who stars in the film as Wakandan operative Nakia.

As Nyong’o recounted in a Twitter video, she signed on about 15 minutes after tickets went on sale, only to find that showtimes were already selling out.

“I kid you not, 15 minutes later, I was trying to purchase tickets, and they are sold out,” Nyong’o gleefully declared. “Sold out!”

Directed by Ryan Coogler, Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman as the Wakandan king T’Challa, who makes his solo debut after appearing in Civil War. As for Nyong’o? Something tells us that Marvel would be more than willing to hook her up with some opening night tickets.

Black Panther will hit theaters Feb. 16.
