The Awardist Oscars Oscar nominations 2018: See the full list By Devan Coggan Devan Coggan Devan Coggan (rhymes with seven slogan) is a senior writer at Entertainment Weekly. Most of her personality is just John Mulaney quotes and Lord of the Rings references. EW's editorial guidelines Published on January 23, 2018 07:44AM EST After months of campaigning (and arguing about which films are most deserving), the nominations for this year’s Oscars are here. Guillermo del Toro’s lavish fantasy The Shape of Water leads with 13 nominations, followed by Dunkirk with eight and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri with seven. The Shape of Water’s total puts it just one nomination shy of the all-time record, shared by All About Eve, Titanic, and La La Land with 14 nominations each. Other highlights from this year include Greta Gerwig’s coming-of-age tale Lady Bird, which scored five nominations, and Jordan Peele’s social thriller Get Out, with four. Both Peele and Gerwig earned nominations for best director and best original screenplay, as well as best picture. Tiffany Haddish and Andy Serkis announced the nominees live from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater, beginning early Tuesday morning, with pre-taped category introductions from guests like Priyanka Chopra, Rosario Dawson, Gal Gadot, Salma Hayek, Michelle Rodriguez, and Zoe Saldana.
