Elmo brings peace to Westeros in Sesame Street's Game of Thrones sketch

Perhaps Melisandre's prophecy about a warrior emerging to wield Lightbringer and serve The Lord of Light doesn't apply to Jon Snow. (It certainly didn't apply to Stannis Baratheon.) But maybe, just maybe, this mystery champion is Elmo.

The friendly red resident of Sesame Street crossed over into Game of Thrones (thanks to the shows' shared network, HBO) to finally settle the strife between Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and his sister Queen Cersei Lannister (Lena Heady).

The noble "Elmo of Sesame Street" thinks the Lannisters need to learn some respect. Whenever he has a problem with his friends, "Elmo doesn't get upset, Elmo listens and learns from what they have to say."

Once Tyrion gets over the concept of a Cookie Monster, he and Cersei unearth something that's long been lost in Westeros: peace.

There you have it. That's how the Game of Thrones ends. We can all go home now.
