Connie Britton reveals the story behind her 'stripper dance' on Friday Night Lights

Connie Britton’s Tami Taylor is remembered for many things: her relationship with Eric (Kyle Chandler), the way she mentored Tyra (Adrianne Palicki), and just generally the way she always managed to hold on to her morals and help guide young teens. But there’s one moment in particular that Friday Night Lights fans love, and it has nothing to do with morals. Yep, we’re talking about Tami’s “his and hers closets” dance.

In the show’s pilot, Tami — trying to convince Eric to look at buying a bigger house — gets very excited about the idea of them each having their own closets, so, naturally, she dances her way out of the scene. That dance then made its way into the season 2 opening credits, and the rest is history.
