Watch Margo Martindale's Ma Beagle Debut in the DuckTales reboot

It's beloved animated character actress Margo Martindale!

Want to have the best week ever? Start it with Ann Dowd winning an Emmy on a Sunday and finish it with spiritual sister Margo Martindale asserting her maternal dominance over a family of animated beagles on a Saturday.

Martindale is among the bevy of buzzy guest stars lending their voice talents to Disney XD’s hilarious new reboot of DuckTales, the pilot of which premiered in August prior to the series’ official timeslot debut on Sept. 23. The revival is already off to a strong start, with August’s one-hour TV movie (which is now available on YouTube and highly recommended by EW) ranking as one of the network’s highest-rated kids’ broadcasts since last year.

While the show’s ensemble is stacked — David Tennant plays Scrooge McDuck, with comedians Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, and Bobby Moynihan as his grandnephews — it’s the roster of guest actors who have really filled this vault with treasure. In addition to Martindale, the guest cast includes Allison Janney, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jim Rash, Josh Brener, Paul F. Tompkins, and more (TBD who’s playing Darkwing Duck).

Martindale plays Ma Beagle, one of the beloved key antagonists of the original ‘80s DuckTales series, with Eric Bauza voicing the Beagle Boys. Check out the Emmy winner’s menacing debut in EW’s exclusive clip from Sept. 23’s series premiere “Daytrip of Doom!” wherein Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby have a dangerous run-in with Ma and her Boys at Funso’s Fun Zone.

DuckTales premieres with back-to-back episodes on Sept. 23, airing six times throughout the day (which also coincides with the 30th anniversary of the original series).
