Sense8: Production begins on Netflix special

Here's what we learned from star Miguel Angel Silvestre's photo of his script

Time to convene the cluster: Netflix’s uncanceled Sense8 has begun production on its two-hour finale special.

Miguel Angel Silvestre, who stars as sensate Lito, Instagrammed a shot of his watermarked script on Tuesday:

There are a few clues to be mined from his post. The highlighted cities — Berlin, Brussels, Paris, and Naples — are presumably filming locations. Berlin, as Wolfgang’s (Max Riemelt) home city, will likely serve as home base for scenes featuring the locksmith. Paris has been mentioned on the show as Kala (Tina Desai) and Wolfgang’s destination for their first in-person meeting — a plan cut short thanks to the season 2 finale cliffhanger, which saw Wolfgang captured. Brussels and Naples, however, have never been locations on the show. Perhaps one of them will serve as a safe house the way Reykjavik and Amsterdam did in season 2?

Silvestre’s post also lists Lana Wachowski, David Mitchell (author of Cloud Atlas, which the Wachowskis adapted in 2012), and Aleksander Hemon (author of Nowhere Man and The Lazarus Project) as the writers for the special. This means co-creator J. Michael Straczynski is indeed taking a backseat for the finale, news he confirmed on Twitter after Silvestre posted his Instagram:

Other than that, well, it looks like Silvestre does his reading accompanied by a cute toy from Berlin. Classic Lito.

Sense8‘s 2-hour finale special will hit Netflix in 2018.
