Hillary Clinton mocks Donald Trump in Between Two Ferns interview

After almost two years away, Zach Galifianakis returns with a new edition of Between Two Ferns, featuring Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

The entire episode is funny and at times awkward, which is what we’ve come to expect from the peculiar webseries. It’s clear from the beginning that this will be an irreverent interview when Clinton’s name is misspelled in her chyron, which identifies her with “had pneumonia.”

Naturally, the host didn’t waste too much time before bringing up Clinton’s opponent, Donald Trump, and, thankfully, the former Secretary of State prepared some nice comebacks. At one point, Galifianakis asks what she thinks Trump will wear to their first debate.

“I assume he’ll wear that red power tie,” says Clinton.

“Or, maybe like a white power tie?” asks Galifianakis, to which Clinton quickly responds, “That’s even more appropriate.”

During the interview, Galifianakis also asks what Clinton will do when Trump is elected president and appoints Kid Rock as his secretary of state: Would she flee the country or stay behind to lead the civil war?

“I would stay in the United States, [and I] would try to prevent him from destroying the United States,” she says with a slight smile. “I wouldn’t take up arms because I think that would be extreme.”

This isn’t the first time the Baskets star’s web series has gotten political. In 2014, he visited the White House for a sit down with President Barack Obama to discuss the Affordable Care Act.
