Foo Fighters' SNL Christmas medley is the gift the world needed

When it comes to Christmas music, there’s the classic jolly songs we all love to hate, and then there’s the epic medley the Foo Fighters performed on Saturday Night Live during the midseason finale.

Dave Grohl kicked off the performance standing center stage wearing a red Christmas sweater, gifting viewers a rendition the band’s most famous song “Everlong,” eventually transitioning to a very Foo Fighters version of “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),” and closing with a surprising rendition of “Linus and Lucy” from A Charlie Brown Christmas.

The legendary rock band gave an electrifying performance in what was a rather bland episode, and topped it all off with fake snow and Grohl wishing everyone a merry Christmas and happy new year.

Foo Fighters were performing in support of their most recent album, Concrete and Gold, and it marked their eight appearance on SNL as musical guests. Watch the rockin’ medley above.
