Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency teaser, premiere date released

BBC America on Wednesday released a new teaser trailer for its upcoming show Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency. Among other things, the clip promises corpses, cops, a killer, a kitten, a trap, a cult, and a kidnapping. Plus? “Ken”!

The channel also revealed that this loose adaptation of late British author Douglas Adams’ two Dirk Gently novels will premiere Oct. 22 at 9 p.m. ET.

“The plot is completely new,” Landis told EW earlier this year. “It keeps the flavor of Douglas Adams — the tones, the dialogue, the ideas, the concepts, the philosophical approach — while at the same time grounding it, and putting it in an edgier, realer world, that still gets stylized and surreal once things hit the fan.”
