Ben Platt and the Dear Evan Hansen cast singing 'You Will Be Found' will give you chills

If you haven't been able to score tickets to see Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway, today is going to be a good day for you, and here's why…

Ben Platt and the rest of the cast of the hit musical made an appearance on the Today show Tuesday morning, for a live performance of the show's powerful anthem, "You Will Be Found."

The rendition marks the first time the song was performed live outside of the show itself.

"You Will Be Found," which EW premiered before the cast album was released earlier this year, comes at the end of Dear Evan Hansen's first act, as Evan — a lonely teen played by Platt who gets caught up in a lie that spirals out of control — gives an inspiring speech to his school about confidence and community that ends up going viral. <div> <iframe src="http://www.today.com/offsite/watch-stars-of-broadway-musical-dear-evan-hansen-perform-live-on-today-929034307898" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" width="" height="423" class="" allowfullscreen="" resize="0" replace_attributes="1" name=""></iframe> </div>ÓÍ|yþumÿyuÝ]ïÇuç^ó4q½ŸëÞÝÛ§

Earlier this year, Platt spoke to audiences at BroadwayCon about creating the character of Evan, and how was important that everyone be able to relate to him and his inability to connect with others around him.

"I never wanted to isolate anyone from being able to connect to Evan or being able to see something of themselves in him," the actor said. "I get questions, like, ‘Is he somebody on the [autism] spectrum?' ‘Is it a specific kid that you knew that you're using in your mind?' And my answer is I've taken pieces from all over, from some people that I remember in high school who had a particular difficulty connecting or were particularly lonely. [But] I never wanted to be too specific that you couldn't find something in him that you could relate to or see yourself in."
