The actress — who is nominated for her role as Marcia Clark in The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story and is a star of American Horror Story — has joined the cast of Murphy’s FX drama anthology Feud, the producer announced Tuesday on Twiitter. The first season will unspool the story behind the bitter rivalry between Hollywood legends Joan Crawford (Jessica Lange) and Bette Davis (Susan Sarandon), who starred together in 1962’s What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? Catherine Zeta-Jones boarded the project last week as Olivia de Havilland. The series — whose cast also includes Stanley Tucci, Alfred Molina, Judy Davis and Dominic Burgess — begins filming this fall and will hit the air next year.
