Ricky Gervais’ return to playing David Brent in David Brent: Life on the Road will stream on Netflix.

The actor revealed that bit of news during a Tuesday appearance on Opie Radio. The film will follow the charater Gervais made famous on The Office, a narcissistic general manager of a paper company, as he attempts to forge a career as a musician.

“This is exciting news and this is top secret, so I’m going to say it now. Netflix have bought out the rest of the world again, so everyone’s going to see it,” Gervais said, revealing the streaming giant had purchased rights to distribute the film. “Which is great for me, because I’d rather 20 million people see it than half a million people see it in cinemas.”

Gervais also said he plans to capitalize on the wider audience Netflix’s platform affords, saying he wants “to do tours off the back of” the film’s impending release. In addition to Netflix, eOne will release the film in select territories.

The U.K. version of The Office, which was later adapted by NBC for American audiences, ran on BBC Two from 2001 to 2003. The series also starred Martin Freeman (Fargo), Mackenzie Crook (Game of Thrones), and Lucy Davis (Shaun of the Dead). The U.S. edition spanned nine seasons between 2005 and 2013, and featured an ensemble cast including Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, Mindy Kaling, John Krasinski, B.J. Novak, Jenna Fischer, and Ed Helms.
