Tyler Posey has found his next television show… or at least his next pilot.

EW has confirmed that Posey has been cast in the CW pilot The Lost Boys. Based on the 1987 movie of the same name, the show will welcome viewers to sunny Santa Carla, Calif., a beautiful seaside town that happens to be home to an underworld of vampires. The pilot, written by Heather Mitchell, follows two brothers who move to Santa Carla with their mother after the sudden death of their father.

Posey will play Michael, the elder brother, whose life plans are uprooted when he learns he has the same genetic weakness that killed his dad. Medalion Rahimi will play Stella, a carefree local who has an immediate spark with Michael — but also a vampire boyfriend, David, who will be played by Dakota Shapiro. Kiele Sanchez will portray Michael's mother, Lucy.

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke will helm the pilot, which is being executive-produced by Mitchell, Rob Thomas, Dan Etheridge, Mike Karz, and Bill Bindley.

Although Posey is best known for his six-season stint as Scott McCall on MTV's Teen Wolf, the actor is no stranger to the CW. After Teen Wolf, he recurred on the third season of Jane the Virgin.
